Dear Editor,

Trump’s zero-tolerance policy for unauthorized border crossers makes zero sense.1-3 Numerous human rights organizations and news outlets have described the policy as “nothing short of torture” or “state-sanctioned child abuse” and called for immediate action from the international community.3-6...
